Here are the general rules for the 10 Days of Style giveaway.

Coming soon: The lighter, more magical Saucony Cortana 2
Some say “3” is the magic number, but as far as running and Saucony is concerned “2” is the most magical number of all.
The much-anticipated Cortana 2 is coming soon and, in our opinion, it can’t get here soon enough. Somehow, they took the original Saucony running shoes for women and men that won “Best Debut” by Runner’s World Magazine and made them even better.
Not only did Saucony leave in everything you loved, from the 4mm offset to the PowerGrid™ cushioning to even the Sauc-Fit™ for a great all-around fit, they fine-tuned the design and made it a whole ounce lighter. In case your eyes just popped out in disbelief, we’ll say that again: The Cortana 2 will be under 10 ounces. That means it’ll feel like it’s barely there to help keep you going during even the highest mileage of runs.
See what we were saying about magic?
But don’t take our word for it. Make sure to check back in October and see the Saucony Women’s Cortana 2 or the Men’s Saucony Cortana 2 for yourself. You won’t believe your eyes. Or feet.

Olympic Dreams with Kim Conley and New Balance
We caught up with 2012 Olympic contender Kim Conley (which is not easy) and asked about her running, setting goals and qualifying for the 2012 Olympics.
What were some of your goals coming into this season?
Kim Conley: The dream goal was to qualify for the Olympics in the 5000m, although in order to reasonably have that in my sights I had to accomplish getting the A standard of 15:20. So the primary objective was to obtain the standard. Along the way I wanted to run under 32:10 in the 10k and under 4:10 in the 1500. Going into the trials, I had only run 15:24 for the 5000m, but I felt that it would most likely take under 15:20 to finish in the top three, so my goal for that race was to finish in the top three and hopefully get the A standard in the process.
What did it feel like to surpass/achieve those goals?
KC: It was amazing and a little bit unbelievable after I crossed the finish line at the Olympic Trials and realized that I had accomplished both objectives, and by such a narrow margin. It was huge dream come true to have that perfect outcome, and I’ve been riding the wave of it ever since which I think has allowed me to continue to lower my PR’s in my races since then.
How did you come down from the high of your Olympic trials success and begin to focus on London?
KC: The most important thing was to get back into my normal daily routine. It was impossible to come down from the high while I was still in Eugene, but once I returned to Sacramento I tried to get into a normal rhythm before heading to Europe.
How was your Olympic experience in London?
KC: The experience in London was wonderful. All aspects of it, from the opening ceremonies, to life in the village, to getting to know other Team USA athletes, to being in the stadium and racing in front of a crowd of 80,000, to the closing ceremonies were absolutely amazing. I won’t forget any of it, and I think having been a part of it all will be a huge stepping stone in my career as I try to make future teams and become a competitive athlete on the world stage.
You ran a personal best (15:14.48) in your 5k preliminary race, tell us about that race?
KC: I PR’d by another 5 seconds, so I can’t call it a bad race, but it wasn’t what I had dreamed of either. I’m happy that the pace was honest and that many people came away with personal bests, regardless of whether we made the final or not. Of course, I wish I had made the final, but I definitely came away from the race and the whole Olympic experience feeling inspired about running at that level and ready to make changes that will allow me to come back a better, more competitive athlete.
Women’s New Balance WRC1600B Running Shoe
What are your plans for the rest of the season?
KC: After the Olympics I ran a mile in Leuven and tonight I’m running the 3k in Lausanne, which will mark the end of the track season for me. I’m going home tomorrow and will take about ten days off.
Plans for the future?
KC: My next big focus will be the US and (hopefully) World Cross Country Championships this winter. I may do a couple of road races in November as well.
